Final Blog Post

1. The revised version of the class differs in many ways such as, we didn't have to read a boring book anymore and we were given more freedom to be creative.

2. I prefer the revised version better beacuse we got to use technology more which was helpful. i enjoyed going to the clark classroom.

3. The only thing I would change is the fact that no grades were given, till this day im stressing out wondering if im going to pass this class. i believe that if grades were given we would be able to try hard to maintain the grade or try even harder to get it up. now we just have to sit and wait while hoping for the best but it does put a lot of stress on people especially to those you feel like their borderline but not quite sure.

4. I honestly did not dislike anything about the clark classroom. i liked the atmosphere and it provided easy hi-tech ways of doing school work which i really enjoyed.

News Article

"At First, Funny Videos. Now, a Reference Tool," by Miguel Helft is a useful news article because it discusses how a student used youtube to help him complete a report in school. it states that he didn't go to google or yahoo or any search engine but instead started his research on youtube. this is very useful when i discuss how youtube is not only a website where you can be entertained but at the same time it's a website that can help you on school assignments.

how can youtube improve grades?

Thesis

Social networking does not necesserily rid the user or public of privacy beacause we are the ones that choose to put the information on there, some websites do not give out information as much as others, and ultimately it is our choice if we want our private information displayed or not.

YouTube is a popular website that is used to view and post videos. you can virturally view any type of video wheather its simply a music video or how to install speakers in your car. this website has a section for most viewed videos, what people are viewing now, featured videos, and rising videos. what is most impressive is that YouTube memorize the type of videos you watch and search for, and based on that it automatically recammends videos for you to watch. Youtube is used by clicking on the search button and typing in the type of video you want to watch. it is very simple to use. Anyone who has access to the internet can use youtube. all the videos are free to view. youtube can be viewed as a major video sharing website, much like limewire except this is not illegal. Youtube can be very useful because it can help you out with almost any question you have. youtube can show you how to drive a motorcycle, change a flat tire, jumstart your car, or how to make a great bbq. it is a website that can help anyone no matter the age or gender. some information is apparent about the user such as the day they jonied youtube, last time they signed in, and how many videos they watched but it's not anything too personal or private.

Assessing technology articles

Ad Nation
Wayne Grytting

"Ad Nation" describes why ads are a bad thing. They believe that ads brainwash people, and give people the mentality that a city could not be a city without ads. Ads have made historical monuments and figures seem bland and boring compared to all the new hi tech billboards.

Brain Storming Technology

Technology is a term used for the advancement in our society.

A computer best represents technology.

I believe it is a mixture of ourselves, the government, and private tech companies.

When I lose control of my personal information, all privacy is lost which can lead to worse things such as identity theft.

Authoritative Source

http://www.camajorityreport.com/var/uploads/leadimages/ChildrenSchoolCuts.jpg

As California makes more and more budget cuts, every student in California pays the ultimate price. Students are just unable to receive a proper education. Programs are cutting cut left and right, programs that are designed to help a student succeed. At first California started with no child left behind but now every child is being left all becuase budget cuts. Investing in children is the best investment that this state can make.

Interview

I decided to interview my cousin, Edward Garcia, about the California budget. My reason for interview him is because he is always up-to-date with the latest news, he is a student just like myself, and always has great insight on topics, I knew he would be the perfect canididate.

AF: What do you think about the budget itself as it is right now?
EG: As of right now I think it is horrible, we keep on spending more than what is coming in. we need to react to this fast because more drastic measures will occur.

AF: How do you feel about the price for going to college?
EG: I think its ridculious how much money we pay for tuition, yes its true that there are scholorships and what not but what about for those of us who are not lucky to recieve those, we end up paying large amounts of money out of our own pocket or end up building debt just so we can better our future. That's not right.

AF: So do you hope that the price of college will go down?
EG: Let me put it to you in a way i see it in my eyes, this might not be the answer your looking for but it's my answer. With out a doubt I do believe the tuition fee should be reduced, not so we just pay less, but because the lower the price for college the more people will be willing and able to attend universities such as SJSU. This means more successful people in life which will reduce crime and help society better as whole because now there will be a whole bunch of people roaming the streets with degrees and not roaming around with guns.

Obama's Inaugural Address

“Our spirit is stronger, and cannot be broken. You cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.” This quote stated by Obama in his inaugural address was a very empowering quote. It was a statment that not only enlighten me but also the thousands of people that appluaded as he stated this quote. Obama presuaded people to believe and follow him by relating to the people, and by addressing the problems that this nation faces as well as stating his soultion to all these problems. His words were really powerful and got the audience to not only listen but think as well. The reason why Americans follow and support Obama is beacuase the one thing that he promises this country is change. This promise is what us as Americans need during our time in crisis. Change is the common goal that every American hopes to acheive.
